KIDS COOKING CLASSES for 2010
Join us at Bluewater Grill with your children for a great morning of fun and education. The children will be with the Bluewater chefs, where they will prepare a selection of items.
While the kids are hard at work, the adults will be enjoying a relaxing morning out in the restaurant chatting over coffee and relishing Bluewater’s beautiful Buffet Breakfast spread. It's all very informal; kids can wander out and adulst can wander in and say hi/take photos, etc.
Please note that the classes are designed for children aged 8 – 12 who have some experience in the kitchen. However, if your child is a little younger, and doesn't have too much experience, then chef and assistants will be on hand to help them. As long as they are confident and very keen on cooking, and have some idea, then they are welcome. It's all meant to be a fun experience.
Each child will enjoy chips, lollies and drinks whilst they are cooking and everyone receives a collection of the recipes made on the day to take home with them, so that they can prepare the same wonderful meals at home.
All classes take place on Saturdays, 10.00am – 12.00noon, in the stunning Bluewater Private Dining Room
This class will show kids how to make the pizza dough, and the special pizza sauce, as well as other "pizza" items such as calzone, etc. Each child will also have the opportunity in the last part of the class to create 2 x pizzas from the endless list of toppings that will be available on the day. These pizzas must be created and cooked within the 2 x hour time limit and we will have a chef and an assistant on hand throughout the class to offer advice and give a hand.
17 July – Theme: “Pasta Class”In this class, our chef will teach the kids how to make pasta from scratch, as well as a variety of different sauces. The pastas will include spaghetti, ravioli, gnocchi, and the sauces will include tomato, Bolognese and a carbonara. We will have a chef and an assistant on hand throughout the class to offer advice and give help. It will be a fun, wintery class!
25 September – Theme: “Spring Sweet Things”
In this class, our chef will teach the kids how to make a lovely array of sweets and desserts. Of course, an assistant will be on hand throughout the class to offer advice and give help.
The cost is $45 per child and $35 per adult. One adult needs to attend to supervise the child(ren). Please note that we do require payment to secure the booking and as these events sell-out, there are no refunds or transfers.
